Originally from the Perth Football Club in the WAFL, Conca was drafted to Richmond with their first selection, the sixth overall, in the 2010 AFL Draft. Conca made his AFL debut in Round 1, 2011 against Carlton at the MCG. In Round 9 he was nominated for the 2011 AFL Rising Star for a "stellar performance against Essendon."
